2023-24 Mixed Summer Soccer
Narooma FC has again teamed up with the Narooma Sporting and Services Club Group to offer mixed 5-a-side summer soccer in 2023/24. Here's what you need to know...
What: Mixed 5-a-side soccer on futsal-sized grass courts.
Where: Club Dalmeny (the back bowling green).
When: Thursday nights, commencing 2 November 2023 and running through to February 2023 (with a break during the school holidays).

Who: Anyone turning 14 or older in 2023. Each player must register individually at playfootball.com.au.
Cost: $70 for U14-U18 / $80 for U19 and over.

Summer Soccer Rules and Regulations
Below is a summary of rules relevant to the 2023-24 Mixed Summer Soccer:
Eligibility
- Players (male or female) must be turning 14 or older in 2023.
- Registrations must be approved in the PlayFootball system prior to a player taking the field of play.- Each team must consist of at least 7, but no more than 10, registered players.
Games- 5 v 5 format, including the goalkeeper.
- Two female players must be on the field of play at all times.
- Unlimited substitutions.- Each game will consist of two, 20-minute halves.
- In the event of a clash of colours, the away team is required to wear bibs (supplied).- Kick-ins are to be used to restart play should the ball leave the field of play across a touch line.
- The goal keeper must throw the ball into play or kick the ball off the ground to restart the match after a “goal kick” is awarded or a save is made.
- Goal kicks/throws must bounce in the defensive half before travelling over the halfway line.
- Slide tackles are not permitted. The Match Official shall award a free kick to the opposing team if a player attempts a slide tackle. Repeated offenses will result in exclusion from the fixture.
- Match Officials have the authority to “sin bin” players for 5 minutes if they consider that a player is using excessive force, particularly when shooting for goal.
- If a match ball enters one of the adjacent bowling greens, one player must walk (not run) onto the green to retrieve it.
- Premiership competition format with no finals.
Equipment
- Studded football boots are not permitted. Futsal shoes or sneakers must be worn. The use of shin pads is strongly recommended. No bare feet or thongs.
- Size 4 futsal balls are to be used for all matches (supplied).- Futsal court dimensions and markings will be used for all matches. Portable 1m (high) x 2m (wide) goals will be used.
