2022 FIFA WORLD CUP CALCUTTA
The 2022 FIFA World Cup is fast approaching and Narooma FC has the perfect activity to ramp up the excitement levels...
Welcome to the Narooma FC 2022 FIFA World Cup Calcutta!
Here's how it works...
The Ticket Draw
Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10 and are available both prior to and on the day of the Calcutta.
The Calcutta commences with one ticket being drawn for each team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. If your ticket is drawn, you ‘own’ that team ahead of the auction stage. Ticket holders MUST be present on the day in order to claim a prize.
All proceeds from the ticket draw go into the prize pool.
The AuctionEach team will be auctioned to the attendees at the Calcutta, who have the opportunity to bid for that team. You can bid on your own team, or you might choose to pool resources with others and bid for other teams.
After the hammer falls on each team:
50 per cent of the sale price goes to the person who drew that team in the ticket draw; and the remaining 50 per cent goes into the ever-growing prize pool. The highest bidder in the auction stage becomes the new owner of that team. Successful bidders must pay for their team(s) on the day – cash and card facilities will be available. After the FinalAfter the final on 19 December, the prize pool (consisting of all ticket sales plus fifty per cent of auction proceeds) is divided as follows: - 40% to the owner of the winning team (minimum $1000);
- 20% to the owner of the second placed team (minimum $500);
- 8% to the owner of the third placed team (minimum $200);
- 4% to the owner of the fourth placed team (minimum $100); and
- 2% to the owner(s) of each losing team of each Quarter Final (minimum $50 each).
*20% of the prize pool will be contributed towards Narooma FC's fundraising efforts.
